Hello, my name is Abena aka Judith and I’m a language teacher, who has been teaching general and business English online for over 7 years. I have taught over 6,000 private classes as well as several hundred group classes.In addition to being a language teacher, I’m also a language learner of Spanish and Korean and know the frustrations and challenges that come with learning a language. There are days of great enthusiasm and motivation followed by days of discouragement and a desire to give up altogether.‘To hang out’ is a phrasal verb that means ‘to spend a relaxing time with a friend, or in a place’.When we hang out with friends, we feel calm, comfortable, relaxed and happy. Please treat your class as you would treat an important appointment or work meeting.Cancelling and rescheduling
Lessons may be cancelled or rescheduled without penalty if notice is provided at least 8 hours before the scheduled start time.Requests made less than 8 hours before the lesson will normally result in the lesson being forfeited, except in the case of a genuine emergency (see Emergency Cancellations below).To cancel or reschedule a lesson, please contact me by email.Student Cancellation
Late or Last-Minute Cancellations
Late or last-minute cancellations are not permitted except in the case of a genuine emergency.Emergency cancellations
Emergency cancellations apply for unforeseen circumstances such as sudden family emergencies, illness, unexpected work-related emergencies, or severe weather conditions.
In the event of an approved emergency cancellation, the lesson may be credited toward a future lesson. To ensure fairness and maintain scheduling consistency, emergency cancellations are permitted on an occasional basis and may not be granted repeatedly.Teacher Cancellation
If I need to cancel a lesson for any reason, I will notify you as soon as possible and we will reschedule the lesson at a mutually convenient time.Cancellations due to Technical/Internet Connectivity Issues
Occasionally, technical or internet connectivity issues may occur on either side. Depending on the circumstances, the lesson may be extended or rescheduled at a mutually convenient time.Late Arrivals
Learners are encouraged to arrive on time for all scheduled lessons.
If a learner arrives late, the lesson will still end at the originally scheduled time. Additional time will not be added to compensate for late arrival.
I will wait up to 10 minutes after the scheduled start time. If a learner has not arrived within 10 minutes and has not communicated with me, the lesson will be considered a no-show.No Shows/Missed Classes
If a learner does not attend a scheduled lesson and provides no advance notice, the lesson will be considered a no-show and will be forfeited.Refunds
Refunds are not provided for lessons, lesson packages, missed lessons, late cancellations, or no-shows.
Where permitted under this policy, lesson payments may be credited toward a future lesson instead of refunded.

Lesson packages must be used within 2 months of purchase unless otherwise agreed.Unused Lessons
